Currently residing in Nashville, Daniel Carwile, a native of Athens, Alabama has won or placed in virtually every major fiddle competition in the United States and is one of the most exciting musicians anyone will ever have the chance to hear. Daniel has won the prestigious Tennessee Valley Oldtime Fiddlers Convention a record 7 times. In addition, he has won The World Series of Fiddling in Langley, Oklahoma, The Lake Superior Fiddle Contest in Duluth, Minnesota, The Alabama State Championship, and countless others. In June of 1997, Daniel won what any fiddler considers one of the most sought after prizes of all, The Grand Master Fiddle Contest in Nashville, TN--a competition with contestants from all over the United States and Canada. He is still the reigning Grand Master Champion.
