Judges: Brandon Apple

Hey Everybody! My bio is pretty simple or at least I feel like it is. I am a simple guy with a lot of interests but first and foremost I love music. It is definitely what I am passionate about among other things. I feel so fortunate to be where I am today and get to do what I love to do day in and day out. There are so many people that I look up to both in music and other aspects of my life.

I have a long list of musicians that have shaped my playing and inspired me to always improve: Mark O’Connor, Stuart Duncan, Tim Crouch, Ron Stewart, Aubrey Haynie, Stephan Grappelli, Jean Luc Ponty, Tommy Burroughs, my brother Brad….and many many others. Of course, my parents are the most awesome people in the world…love ya’ll! Without them I definitely wouldn’t have had the opportunities that I have had to hear and experience music and life to the extent that I have. All of my grandparents have also been a huge influence and encouragement. Thank you!!!

Okay, back to this bio thing….I play quite a bit around the Memphis area and also travel with Clint Black when he is touring. Between those things, practicing, recording, and spending time with friends and family…that takes most of my time. I also love to listen to great concerts and other musicians/singers every chance I get. There is so much talent out there….it is really amazing!
