Welcome
We have new divisions coming this year. We have added an
Adult division for any adult who doesn't feel comfortable entering the
open division. We have also added a pee wee division for those 9 and
under, and a cross tuned division so we can have even more fun!
The 2005 Fiddlerfest results are in, and what a year it was. The audience and fiddlers were thick, and the competition was fierce (and good spirited).
Matt Wyatt came out from Kansas City to win First place
in the Open division in addition to taking top Honors in the
Ragtime Annie category. While winning second place in the open
division, Bill Jones came back to win the Grand Champion Fiddle off.
And, once again, we were blessed by the presence of the University of
Evansville Suzuki Strings program, organized by Carol Dallinger. We look forward to having them participate again next year.
We are already planning for 2006. New for 2006, we are
adding an adult division, and have adjusted our age categories to bring
them in line with the National Old Time Fiddlers Association
guidelines.
We have added to our prize money now offering over
$4000.00 in cash prizes, and paying 7 places in the open division. Come
out and join us for a fantastic (And nationally certified) event, featuring some of the best fiddling in the nation!
We encourage you to visit our sponsors
on the web and in person, because they made this fun-filled
event possible.
